CECOM

WHO ARE WE

The primary service provider and source of expertise for BPR services across the Army. The CoE is a partnership between the Army Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) and resides within the Software Engineering Center (SEC) Army Shared Services Center (Army SSC).

WHAT WE DO

We provide a structured methodology for assessing process weaknesses, identifying capability gaps, and implementing innovation and optimization opportunities. Our holistic approach considers the people, process, policy, information, and technology impacts to solve complex challenges and achieve goals. This approach enables practitioners to consistently achieve successful results, facilitates information exchange among stakeholders, and maximizes the potential benefits gained from process engineering.

SERVICES WE OFFER

The BPR CoE provides subject matter expertise and technical assistance to enhance and institutionalize BPR capabilities across the Army and empowers organizations to transform their operations through three core service offerings:



BPR


TRAINING

Develops a skilled team of BPR professionals through a comprehensive training and development program, including curriculum-based learning and best practice sharing. This empowers them to effectively lead and execute impactful BPR initiatives. The CoE manages the Army’s three-tiered BPR training program, responsible for developing and certifying BPR professionals who can guide their organizations in addressing business challenges through process improvement. The CoE directly delivers instruction and provides mentorship throughout these training courses.

ADVISORY SUPPORT

Offers comprehensive support for externally managed BPR projects within the Department of Defense, the Army, and other Federal agencies. Support includes expert consultation, technical guidance, and assistance based on a thorough understanding of laws, regulations, and policies, strategies, best practices, and experience with BPR spanning a wide range of business processes and systems. We provide strategic recommendations and ongoing support throughout the entire project.

FACILITATION

Supports organizations across the Army enterprise to overcome challenges and deliver value. Our team of experts assist with BPR projects from capturing and analyzing the current state to designing a more efficient and effective to-be process. This also includes, Process Mapping and Enterprise Architecture, Business and Strategic planning facilitation, Stakeholder Management, and Organizational Change Management.
