Access to Aberdeen Proving Ground

Please follow these guidelines to ensure proper access to Aberdeen Proving Ground:

1. All personnel who have a US Government issued ID card (CAC, Military Retiree, DA Form 1602 issued for APG or from another federal government agency (including Legislative and Judicial Branches) :

• Proceed directly to any Access Control Point and present your ID to the guard. You may escort other personnel in your vehicle. These individuals will have to show a valid state driver's license, identification card or U.S. Passport.

2. All other personnel who do not have the above identification:

• Follow I-95 North

• Proceed to the *Visitor Center (Rt. 715 Gate) to be processed and cleared. You must present a valid state driver's license. Once the check is completed, you will be issued a visitor pass to enter the installation.

*The Visitor Center located at Gate 715 is open Monday-Friday from 6 am to 6 pm. On weekends, holidays, and after hours, please use the Rt. 22 Gate to enter the installation. A guard there will provide support for your access to the installation.

Please note that individuals who have a driver's license from the following states: Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Washington and American Samoa (or the license states "Not Valid for Federal Use") must present a second form of picture identification. This is required as part of the DOD's compliance with the Real ID Act of 2005. Drivers must present a valid vehicle registration.
